Our makers at Mosaic were tasked with shaping, molding and casting a new set of holds for a playground fabricator that required high tolerances to fit their existing installations.
Resin Playground Pieces
We provided our client with casted parts for their existing playground installations. The specs for all of the pieces were provided, as well as their original molds. Our crew at Mosaic took it one step further and developed new molds using our hollow-backing techniques that resulted in a weight reduction of over 55% in the plastic used. Furthermore, we changed the resin used from polyester to polyurethane which is a lot more durable. The end result was a cheaper, lighter, and stronger part.
